
Rumpelstiltskin
Synopsis: The lovely Claire has a father who likes to tell stories and fibs. He tells the king that Claire can spin straw into gold. The greedy king kidnaps Claire and locks her in a tower to prove that she can spin him straw into gold. There in the tower, she meets a cat and a mouse who befriend her and help her. The king has trapped her father in the dungeon and demands high prices for her to complete this task. She is worried as she cannot spin straw into gold, the cat and mouse find a gnome and fairy who help them find a little man who will help her, but he wants something in return, 3 times he helps her and each time the king becomes greedier and the last time the little man demands her first born child. Claire agrees, against her friends’ wishes and she marries the king and becomes queen. Some years later she has a daughter, and the little man returns and demands payment but agrees to not take her child if Claire can guess his name. For 3 nights she tries and fails and on the last night with help of her friends she guesses correctly, and the Rumpelstiltskin is defeated, the kingdom rejoices and celebrates. (if children performing you may add extra magical creatures and courtesans and knights to court scenes and chase scenes)

All plays are approximately an hour long and can be split into 30 minute acts, with an intermission and dancing and chase scenes added as needed. Samples of scripts/scenes available upon request.
Performance & Licensing Requirements:
One script must be purchased per performer. This ensures that each cast member has their own copy for rehearsal and performance.
A Performance Rights License is required for each performance. The license is $50 per performance and grants you the right to perform the play live for an audience.
Script Delivery: Scripts will be delivered by mail within 7 business days of purchase.
